Dis[sections]
Dissections is an experimental arrangement which privileges words above their meanings, dissecting them in unconventional and unusual ways so as to reveal their previously unnoticed intricacies. This work flies in the face of a poetics of “economy” and an “economy of words,” and instead develops a culture of words, reliant on the concrete and abstract and, most importantly, the reader; when meaning is not privileged over structure, style, or sound and so forth, it’s less an absence like one might expect, and more so an investigation. Read beyond the lines, beyond the obvious connections, and examine the dissections to understand differently (not better) the whole. Like the other arrangements, and like all poetry, it is never finished, and is constantly evolving with new additions, revisions, and other changes on this page. With that said, enough poetic interjection, and may you enjoy Dissections.
