The Daily Citadel
The Glass Citadel, as a testament to continued creative expression, is not just an archive displaying what has already been written, but is a source of consistently new poetry and poetic expression. What that means is an overarching weekly challenge and subsequent daily posts to both the Glass Citadel Twitter and Instagram.
By “challenges,” they could range anywhere from simple tasks aimed at directly generating new poetry, such as 1) write a poem every day for the week 2) write a poem and revise it differently every day for the week 3) write a poem and expand it every day for a week; or, tasks that engage in poetry and the creative in different ways such as 4) write about a different aspect of poetry every day 5) share a poem that has been a source of inspiration every day.
The attempted goal is to provide some form of daily consistency without necessarily doing the same thing every day: while it is always possible to engage in the poetic, to do so in the same way, in the same manner, repeatedly unending, is unlikely to breed the best results. Now that you understand the design and intention behind the Daily Citadel, it’s time to dive right in! And remember, make sure to follow on Instagram and/or Twitter as well to keep up to date!

Week of: 04/09/2023 – 04/15/2023
Challenge: A New Poem A Day
Notes: Sunday is the Transition Day, and new posts will instead be announcing the new theme. Wednesday is free, and there will be no posts.
The Daily Citadel Vault
An archive on the website for all generated work. As these continue, locating past work quickly and reliably may prove a challenge, and so this archive is a pre-emptive step to better document and record the newly generated work.
